I believe you have to put the image on a thumb drive, and do some other girations to use a windows image. I found it far easier to burn an ISO image onto a DVD disk and use that DVD in the install process.

Subject: using bootcamp with a disk image

Hi all.
I was just wondering, can I use a disk image to install windows 7 on bootcamp? I know you can with VMWare, so was just wondering if anyone knew if this is possible.
Thanks.
