the purpose of the small button will depend on what model of mac you're
talking about. Air, Pro, Mini? It doesn't exist on the iMac.
Save last phrase to desktop converts the last thing VoiceOver spoke into an
audio file and places it on the desktop as an audio file that can be played
in iTunes or other audio players. As to its purpose, I'll leave that to your
creativity.
