I use jaws and windows for the same thing, as I have to run my business from home. But I use 4 gigs of ram, and experience no choppyness. Remember, office from 2007 and above, needs at least 1 gig of ram to perform properly, and jaws another gig. So that may be where your choppyness is coming int. I have 16 gigs of ram, so have a lot more to use, but if all you use is office and a little IE, then moving it to 3 or 4 shouldn't be an issue. I understand your hesatation because of the authorization. Just tell them you had to install more ram for beter performance, they will give you another activation. Just don't tell them your running windows in fusion, cause then they will not help you. HTH!
