I think the sender wanted to reply to an individual rather than the list. once the message is open, interact with the header when you get to the person who sent the mail, select their E-mail and copy to the clip board and when you reply, delete for instance Macvisionary list E-mail and command v to paste. or if you are in the mail when replying where it says for instance, such and such a person wrote and their E-mail next to it, copy that E-mail address and delete what ever is in the to field of the message.
