I don't know about anyone else.  But I RARELY use windows and the mac side at 
the same time.  I have windows running yes, but I don't have to do things on 
them at the same time.  So when I am using windows, I turn voice over off.  
This has been working for me since fusion 4, and windows focuss's just fine.  
When I am done, I turn voice over back on, go back to the mac side, and 
everything works as normal.  HTH
