Hi,

That is an older version of Numbers that isn't as accessible as the newer 
versions.  It is usable but not near as accessible as the newest version which 
is 3.1 (1769).  Are you running Mavericks?  If so, you should be able to update 
your version by going to  the AppStore.  As far as I know, they're still 
offering the free upgrade to the newest Numbers for free as long as you have a 
licensed version of iWork 09 or Numbers. If you're in Mountain Lion or Lion, 
then that's likely the newest version you can use.
