I'm playing around with an old Leopard computer I gave to a friend a long time
ago and got back when she got a Macbook Air. I have created a user for myself
and the user has admin status. I have restarted the computer with my user
logged in. But in System Preferences > Accounts, even though voiceover says the
old admin's name is selected in "other accounts" I cannot delete that user
because as soon as I move in the screen I get back to my user information. Can
anybody remember how I get this to work? Of course with my username focussed
delete user is dimmed; I think if it was on the other user I could delete it.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper
thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!
And now, every day:
"This I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord
never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3:21-23 ESV)
