Hi there, my name is Howard and after some time have thought about it and wish to self nominate for the Maemo Community Council. I have been on TMO before and have followed the Council previously. I normally spend time helping others with Maemo and soon MeeGo issues and currently develop for the Fennec platform re: add-ons. I got interested in Maemo whilst previously engaged in Mozilla related work back in 2007 when I heard about the MicroB project from Nokia. In 2008 I got my N800 and shortly after it's release in the UK I got my N900 and have been active in evangelising both the Mozilla and Maemo/MeeGo platforms, most recently at both the Mozilla Festival (2011 and here in 2012) here in the UK and at the open Mozilla Hack Day back in May. I am also looking forward to Firefox OS and the impact it will make in the open web/mobile space. Howard. |
