Messages from people who are on the list (and not blacklisted) are automatically posted to the list. Only those exceptions has to be approved by the moderators.
If someone abuses the mailing list, then (s)he can be banned from it but I don't see representing own opinions as that (even when you tell somebody to rot in hell, it's just strong feelings).
