I was wondering if it would make sense to take a look at the code from
TomTom:

It seems that both devices have some similarities reagarding the hardware.
I think I remember have reading the 770 had some issues working working
in host mode, either USB or Bluetooth.
Maybe these are already resolved in the TomTom software.
