This has been closed as invalid i.e. being a Gtk/Cairo bug instead of Awt one. However, the links in the bug point to Cairo 256-color problems (including the Gtk bugzilla link), but N770 display is 16-bit, not 8-bit, and there's no Cairo in N770.
