A few days ago I reported this on IRC and it was because of the 2.6.18 kernel. I see that that one is now the unstable version. So if you have it, downgrade it to 2.6.17. I can confirm that I have 2.6.18, so I will downgrade to .17 and retry. Thanks for the response!
