I think there's another dimension related as well, namely which 'OS' is
the application targeted for (2005, 2006, sardine, herring) But then
having a repository for all combinations would be rather a mess, I
think.

I think we've had some thoughts about how to approach the 'optimized for
IT2006' issue, but not that much about stability of individual
applications. I guess the implicit assumption has been that if it's
published in the repository it does not have any major bugs or that
those bugs get quickly fixed.
