hi all,

last week i began to mount my (yet antoher) debian repository[0] for the
nokia770. but i think it's very time wasting to import apps from one repo to
others ... so i'd like to make the following proposal:

make a complete debian repository for and by the maemo community with these
goals:

1.- properly made debian packages (following as close as we can the debian
policy and rules). debian packages with our patches against them plus
packages only for maemo.

2.- with *sources* and armel bins.

3.- with teams or maintainers for each one.

4.- with a clear release name (mistral, sardine, ... ) + (sections: main,
contrib, non-free). for packages only for scratchbox we could use
releasename-dev or something similar.

5.- without missing depends :)

6.- gpg signed packages and releases

i could provide a server with the needed software (maybe dak) but i think that
this repository should belong to the maemo community.

what are you thoughts about this ?
