Very nice review. I mostly agree with all your points except the bit
about font management. The N800 (and the 700) both use fontconfig,
which is way better than the old X11 font model. If you drop a font
with the unicode characters you need to $HOME/.fonts you'll be able to
read CJK (for example) web sites immediately. Not an excuse to not
ship a decent font in the first place, but the infrastructure is
there.
