I know that fremantle/N900 has a reduced set of xkb layouts that does not include pc105. This precludes using a bluetooth keyboard. I know that the long-term plan is to integrate the N900-specific layouts into the complete set of layouts in the upstream xkb-data.
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6685 For now, I would like to get just pc105 working so that I can use a bluetooth keyboard, particularly just an iGo Stowaway, an IRXON, or a Freedom Universal. I am willing to hack this a bit. I have the complete /usr/share/X11/xkb directory from chinook/N810. And all three of these bluetooth keyboards work with chinook/N810. Can someone give me some pointers as to the simplest way to merge just the minimal amount from the /usr/share/X11/xkb directory from chinook/N810 with that on fremantle/N900 to get one of these keyboards working? I tried copying the chinook/N810 files onto the N900 and then copying the original fremantle/N900 files on top of that. The N900 keyboard still works (when I first did that without copying the fremantle/N900 on top I bricked the N900) but the bluetooth keyboards still don't work.
