Hmm, I'm not the maintainer of the old libgio in the repos, Faheem Pervez (Qwerty12) was if I'm not mistaken. I don't think I pushed my modified libgio there even if I could. It was intended to fix the broken one, not to break it more. However it is not finished yet as I needed to port almost half of GTK+ 2.22 and it is still on my HDD.
