This is somewhat specialized stuff and as Thomas mentioned, should be quite easy for developers to add manually. We can add this to our backlog but no promises on the schedule.
2. Are the C extensions (Cython) coming to Harmattan as well?
There was for a long time a Debian packaging bug preventing us integrating the package. The bug has now been resolved in the upstream so we can take this in now. Again, no promises for exact schedule.
