here is the response I got from IPass on the subject of Tmobile access:

Hello Mr. Holmblad,

I can answer the original question regarding T-Mobile.

Some providers implement Partner or roaming login, meaning that their landing page shows an option to log in as an iPass user. With these providers, iPass customers can log in to the hotspot directly, without using iPassConnect. We do not recommend this as it bypasses some important features such as IOQ and VPN integration.

T-Mobile does not support Partner login for iPass. iPassConnect is required at T-Mobile hotspots.
