IMHO the whole check could be removed from Maemo.

yep, clean device.


If yes, how many file descriptors (and D-BUS connections) your
device processes use when this happens?

it's hard to monitor, it happens occasionally. But if you have action
on bluetooth (that uses dbus), speed contacts, contacts, email (with
notifications comming often), gconf and some other applications that
heavily depend on DBus, you may get this.
