I just started to use gnump3d and I have been happy with it so far.
Setup took 10 minutes and I was able to browse to my music and I was
able to play my music. I have not tried it with video so I can not
comment on that yet. Marty Skitch Josh Smith wrote: Did you search internettablettalk.com? Mounting has been discussed quite a bit, and I know it can be done. I am not sure how well it works for accessing media though, as the transfer rates may not be good enough. When I had cifs set up I never tried this. There are also other streaming programs, e.g. tversity. Good luck, and be sure to report back what worked for you. So how can i effectively access those files from my N800? Ideally i would like to mount my share point on the N800; but i have failed to do that, and having asked the question in this forum a week or so ago, it appears no one else has an answer to that. So what are my other options? I am currently streaming it using SlimServer, but that is clunky as hell, as i have to have a browser open and then connect to a streamed MP3. Doesn't for videos though. I tried to use UnPNP (installing a UnPNP server on linux) but that was such a horrible way of doing things.
