The firmware is available at the usual spot on Nokia's site ... it is just a painfully slow download and a much bigger firmware (130 MB vs 90 MB) so someone put up a torrent. >From the announcement, this version of OS2008 is a beta and for early adopters who are tolerant of rough edges and are willing to report them. If you want something rock solid and officially supported by the Nokia help line, I think you have to wait until the 15th of Dec or so.
