Although I didn't see any active CPU activity at the time for pulseaudio, it is responsible for most of my CPU activity. I killed tonegend anyway (until it stopped coming back) and now my phone has >50% battery remaining after 24 hours. Maybe it's just a coincidence, since I didn't touch my phone at all last night. I need more testing to see...
