Hi there, Sorry for opening the thread just now. I’ve copied cairo to cairo-xcb, because I need to compile it with the xcb backend. Since I do not want to force everyone to have it like this, and since this backend is considered experimental, I thought it was the best solution.
I asked dmorgan and ahmad to review it and there is only one thing that was not ok for them, I made cairo-xcb provide cairo. I cannot do without or else I’m forced to remove nearly everything, due to pango requiring it directly. Though, I think cairo should remain the default choice, and I specifically added a warning message in a README.urpmi to discourage cairo-xcb use where it is not needed. So, the problem is that we should avoid cairo-xcb being prefered during dependency resolving. Can I add lib{,64}cairo2 to /etc/urpmi/prefer.vendor.list ? Do you know a better fix ? (I haven’t submitted cairo-xcb yet, wanted to solve this issue first) Thanks in advance, Best regards, -- Rémy CLOUARD () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments
