Hi all! dracut-015-5.mga2 which was uploaded some 8 hours ago breaks initramfs generation due to a path change and issues in 'plymouth' and 'bootsplash' backages.
If you've configured your bootloader configuration with MCC or installed new kernels with this version of dracut installed (even if you've later upgraded), you may have had one or more of your initramfs files truncated, which will cause a boot failure. You can check if you are affected by using e.g. this command to print suspiciously small initramfs files: find /boot/initrd*.img -size -1M -type f If that is the case, you should wait without rebooting until - plymouth-scripts-0.8.4-0.20111214.2.mga2 - bootsplash-3.3.6-1.mga2 are available and installed on your system, and then run: bootloader-config --action rebuild-initrds After that please double-check with the 'find' command that no truncated iniramfs files exist. If there are any, please report it. Also, if you don't have truncated files but have dracut-015.5.mga2, please upgrade to the above versions ASAP to prevent truncations from happening in the future. -- Anssi Hannula
