Yeap, I wrote about the improvements to highlight that this release provides not only bugfixes but also new stuff that can potentially break. At least this was what I had in my mind :-P Then I wrote that we are currently providing version 0.4.0 to point out that -as I'm the maintainer- it could be difficult to backport each bugfix from 0.5.0 to 1.0.0 into the current version. It's quite clear to me the reason of a version freeze but maybe I should pay more attention to the way I write freeze push requests.
