Not really so complicated: with the technical specs, Mageia decides and has decided.
As for the hosting, I will talk to people at Switch and ask how much they can help: minimum = stable in summer; maximum = cauldron now with 2 hourly updates + stabel in summer; compromise = cauldron now, drop cauldron in summer and switch to stable.
In case Switch cannot host cauldron now, we should try and find if a university can step in - I will ask here in Geneva - can you ask at ETH?
