[Mageia-discuss] Firefox 8

Firefox 8.0 came out a few weeks ago, Mozilla released FF 8.0.1 a few 
days ago, and FF 9 is scheduled to be released by the end of the year. 
Mageia is still on FF 7.0.1.

I'm not sure why the delay in adopting FF 8.x into Mageia. I searched 
for some notice that it was in testing, but came up empty. For what it's 
worth I've installed the USA English version of 8.0.1 on my 32-bit 
system while leaving Mageia's version intact, and see no problems so 
far. I'll continue to use Mozilla's latest as my default browser, and if 
any problems develop, I'll post them here for the information of the FF 
maintainers.
