According to MCC - 192.168.0.20, managed by users and starting at boot. According to ifconfig - 169.254.100.1 - the same subnet as the NAS's setup. However, when I use the web interface to connect to the NAS it uses 192.168.0.200. I did enable NetworkManager when I put the config back, but when I found it was still showing the "wrong" address I turned it off again so that I could ifup and ifdown. The manually constructed config, eth0:temp, is renamed to eth0.temp.sav - and the config file is set to not start at boot. I can't think of anything else to tell you.
