Hi,

I've read that IM's license is compatible with the GPL,
so I would like to know :
1) when we mix IM code and GPL code, how the licensing have to be made?
is the result under a dual license ?

2) There are some filters that are in the Gimp but not in IM,
so would it be possible to take some lines of Gimp GPL code
and put it in IM?
But then would it be possible to have an IM version with GPL portions?

3) There are some filters that are in IM but that are not in Gimp
so would it be possible to take an IM function and put it in the Gimp?
In this case, would there be the need to apply the IM license on the result?

4) In image processing, some algorithms are well known, so when can we re-use
pieces of source code of an image processing program without having to apply
its license on our result?
>From which point methods used in an image processing program are considered as
part of the program and not as abstract algorithms that we can used like we
use mathematical formulas ?

Thanks in advance
