Hello,

I'm attending a gradute discipline of multicore programming at University of
Campinas called MO801 Sistemas Multicore: Hardware e Software
(MO801Multicore Systems: Hardware and Software). One of our projects during
the semester was identify functions of the ImageMagick that could be easily
parallelized using OpenMP.

I decided to parallelize the OilPaintImage function, that can be found in
the magick/paint.c file. In a dual-core processor, it's execution time is
decreased almost to half of the original execution time. The patch file is
attached to this email

Thank you for your attention.
