I want to take my digital camera pictures and print them so they are 4x6 but do not get cropped, which of course means they will have a white border on the left and right of the picture.
How would I go about doing this in ImageMagick. I already have a script which resizes and crops and sharpens the image to 4x6, but how would I go about resizing down to 4x6 size (starting from 5 megapixel) but automatically have borders attached so the final size is 4x6 with the actual picture probably taking something close to 4x5.
