You could use 'convert text:yourtextfile.txt yourimage.jpg' Regards, B. ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Sat, 24 Mar 2007 08:43:41 +0100 From: Wolfgang Hugemann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [magick-users] EMF To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Peter, you'll find detailed information about the Metafile header at http://www.fileformat.info/format/wmf/. As far as I can see, there is no format tag in the header; the file doesn't need to start with "EMF". If you have access to a Windows machine, try to use the metafile companion http://www.companionsoftware.com. At the same website, you will also find the freeware DOS-Tool listwmf that analyzes Metafiles http://www.companionsoftware.com/PR/WMRC/ I have tested both an found them quite convenient. To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Ken, I do things like that with IM on a regular basis without any difficulties, so I don't see why this shouldn't work. In order to yield an acceptable resolution, you should probably use the option -density 200 (or something comparable), otherwise it is just a poor 72 dpi. Depending on the content of the PS-file, JPG is not always a good choice as it works poor on text. And in order to get IM work properly with PS, you have to have GhostScript installed correctly. If it is not too big, you can send me a zipped version of your PS file directly and I'll have a look for what's wrong with it. If I do convert -density 200 test.pdf page_.jpg I get a series of JPGs. This is not suitable for text. If I do convert -density 200 test.pdf page_.tif I get a multipage TIFF, i.e. just one file instead of a series. If I do convert -density 200 test.pdf page_.gif I get an animated GIF with all of the pages. Well, I know how to extract a series of TIFFs from a multipage TIFF by means of other programs. But because I am quite often set with that task, I would like to do it in one step with IM. What option do I need in order to force IM to produce a series of TIFFs instead of one multipage TIFF? One of the readers says that PestPatrol reports a key logger in that file. (I cannot verify that information.) I am pretty sure that this is a false alarm. The file has 7.071.164 bytes. How can I verify that this is the original, unmodified file?
