Hi there,

I'm trying to find a way to layer an SVG vector file onto a Jpeg image. I've
been looking through the documentation and examples and have noticed that
there are multiple ways of doing it...I could use something like:

convert 1.svg 1.jpg -compose output.jpg or something like composite 1.svg
1.jpg output.jpg

The thing is that when I attempt either of those I'm having trouble. My
Imagick knowledge isn't at that level yet to solve this issue, so I was
hoping I could get some help :-). Here are two sample files:

http://www.zeussync.com/1.svg and http://www.zeussync.com/1.jpg

I'm hoping that the SVG will overlay perfectly (with any specified
transparencies) onto my jpg, which will act as a background. In essence I'm
hoping to see a black bg with the numbers 00:00:01, then on top the vectors.
Sometimes I expect to have transparent squares or even transparent text
overlayed on top, so that should also come through.

The image size should always be the size of the jpg. I'm wondering if there
is a way to identify it's heigh x width in one command and use that instead
of having for me to specify it automatically.

A second question I had was, Imagick does support standard SVG correct? How
good is the support/implementation...100%? I don't expect this to be an
issue considering that my vector SVGs will be rather simple documents,
though I thought it best to ask.

Thanks!

David
