In addition to the APIs mentioned in the previous post, IM has a command line mode that can be run from your terminal. Scripts can be built from the commands, but it depends upon which type of computer you use. If you are on Linux or Mac OSX, you can use any of the shells. I use bash mostly. On windows I believe you write bat files.
I have built a lot of unix bash scripts. They all use command line mode rather than any API. They are at http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/index.html. But as the other person said, you should look around the Imagemagick web site and especially at http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php and http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/ >what exactly is imagemagick? i can see people talk of EOF command, >script and many other. What programming language do i learn in >other to be familiarise myself with imagemagick? > >I understand greenstone software but cannot not go extra miles. > >Please advice. > >Luke _______________________________________________ Magick-users mailing list [email protected] http://studio.imagemagick.org/mailman/listinfo/magick-users
