Hi,

I am doing a conversion of a jpeg to a png as shown below that creates a segfault:

$ convert  CemlonelyAmishstone-small.jpg CemlonelyAmishstone-small.png
Segmentation fault

However if i issue the same command but converting from jpeg to gif, that works fine:
$ convert  CemlonelyAmishstone-small.jpg CemlonelyAmishstone-small.gig

Even more surprising, the jpeg -> png works fine if i strip the metdata
$ convert -strip CemlonelyAmishstone-small.jpg CemlonelyAmishstone- small.png

The more surprising thing is that the jpeg metadata don't look corrupted in any way:

$ identify -verbose CemlonelyAmishstone-small.jpg

I attached the image below for reference.

As far as i am concerned i don't mind having to strip the metadata so this is no big deal but i am happy to improve the quality of that great piece of software!
