Convert is the newer command and more versatile with respect to options. But it processes one image at a time. Therefore to do multiply images you need to write a script with a loop.
Mogrify is older and does not allow all the newer features that convert does, but can process a whole folder of images at one time. >Hi, Fred! >Thanks for the help! Everything works like a charm.
