I have just started using the wonderful ImageMagick and wondered if someone could help me out with the following problem? I want to draw text using a specified font with a soft outline (as seen at http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/fonts/font_outline_soft.jpg ), however I have a couple of extra requirements: 1. The text (with soft outline) is drawn over an image (background.jpg) 2. I am using the -tile option to specify the fill pattern for the font. So far I have come up with: convert background.jpg -size 720x194 \ -font MyFont.ttf -gravity center \ -pointsize 72 -annotate +3+0 "Anthony" -blur 0x5 \ -fill white -tile pattern.jpg -annotate +0+0 "Anthony" \ output.gif It's ALMOST what I need - the problem is that although the soft outline is being created under the font, the background.jpg image (in the output.jpg) is also being blurred and I need it to NOT be blurred. Could any of you kind people please give me some help on how to fix this?
