I think i must be out of the loop, but it seems all the posts never get replies. I figured i would reply to my own incase anyone does actually read this and want to see atleast a post or reply instead of another new unreplied post.
The latest versions of centos (64bit), ImageMagick, LCMS dont work the way they used to. The current version server and script totally trash a few images, I cannot even figure out why. Most images, 98+%, convert fine, just a few trash out horribly. My scripts were written a few years ago and have successfully automated 28 gigs of cmyk print ready eps to 3 watermarked and resized rgb web gifs. I exhausted google on this topic, tons of posts similar but no real definitive solutions, if even a reply at all. Google has no clue. I opted to remove the conversion system from the webserver, and placed it on a separate machine. Using dated versions of (centos os 4.8, php 4x, imagemagick 6.0) i still had a horrible time getting LCMS working. With everything installed, i was still getting "LCMS color profile file unavailable" in the terminal output as the command worked and assumed the converstion still wasnt working. After tons of failed attempts, i finally reloaded the image and it was saved properly. Tested another different image that was broken and it worked as well. There is nothing on the web that helps a guy with either of those errors, or installing lcms and making it work with php. Funny thing is, even 3-4 years ago when i did the system, i remember it being a problem > me. Must be one of those things....
