Something along these lines seems to be the case on the latest Mahara.org homepage. The Help link at the bottom of the page goes to an older version's help (21.04) while the demo.mahara.org page goes to correct latest build (22.04) manual.

Since the latest version will continuously change, we should have a way of determining the link dynamically so it always knows the correct version and branch. These links are appearing in the "Import" section of the SmartEvidence plugin page (http://mahara/module/framework/frameworks.php?uploadmatrix=1). Please see the attached screen shot. There are two links on the page, "Mahara git repository" and "Mahara manual" that are currently linking to 16.10_STABLE resources. An example of what should be happening with the links always linking to the correct version is the "Help" link in the Site's footer.
