I have started a project called wxSSL which is designed to implement SSL versions of wxWindows IPC and Socket Classes. Does Mahogany use any wxWindows IPC or socket classes? If so, I hope that the Mahogany authors use the wxSSL Socket Classes in the future. It will also allow other authors to easily add SSL support to applications originally written with wxWindows IPC and Socket classes in the future.
