this feature is already there -- simply create an MBOX folder and copy all
the messages to it. Of course, the UI is not ideal, this is why there is

In the meanwhile I'd strongly advise to use the method above for
"exporting" because I have some serious doubts that your code works with
all mailboxes in MBX format.
