Summary: SMTP doesn't support STARTTLS
Product: Mahogany
Version: 0.64
Platform: other
URL: http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2487.txt
OS/Version: Win 98
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: other

If I select SMTP uses SSL, mahogany tries an alterned port for S-SMTP. My e-
mail server only supports STARTTLS. The protocol goes as follows: You make a
normal SMTP connection to port 25 and then the client issues a STARTTLS command
to initiate the SSL connection. It would be veeeery nice I you implement this
feature. See http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2487.txt
