First of all, please disregard the previous reply, I accidentally mistyped it
into a wrong bug report, sorry.
Second, I don't think Mahogany has problem with CRAM-MD5 but it is quite
possible that the server is buggy. Using at AUTH PLAIN part of the dialog, you
can see that it doesn't implement the PLAIN method correctly: the
PLAIN "challenge" must be "VXNlcm5hbWU6Cg==" (base64-encoded "Username:") and
not empty.
Seeing this and knowing how common are bad CRAM-MD5 implementations, I have
good reasons to think that it gets it wrong too. If you can provide any
information contrary to this or a way to test it, please reopen the bug.
Otherwise I can only advise you to disable *both* PLAIN and CRAM-MD5 auth
methods (this is possible in the newest M version in the network page).
