I guess it is all up to Vadim but I would hope that some of the patches
relating to asserts would go in before 0.65 gets released. 

I also had a mailbase crash and only noticed you sent some messages in
these groups to me relating to archiving assert reports in Buglist. The
only reason I have not is because I got the impression (rightly or
wrongly?) that you had patches for them already?

I'm using an external editor and an external news reader - there's not much
left of M but it is driving me to drink with all these asserts. Have they
all been in the code all the time? How did we manage not to see them?
