           Summary: Filters on displayed messages
           Product: Mahogany
           Version: from CVS
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P3

It would be nice to be able to associate to each folder a filter that would be
used to reduce the number of shown messages. The first example would be to
display only the non-read messages: this is needed for newsgroups and desirable
for e.g. folders holding high volume mailing lists.

Conceptually, something like this should be done each time a folder with a
display filter is opened: if there are messages left after applying the filter,
go ahead and only display those messages, else display all the messages. I
suppose that any message added into the folder while the latter is opened should
be displayed, regardless of the display filter.
