------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-01-19 15:15 ------- This behavior is also visible on my install and build on Mandrake 9.1 I am trying to use the check mail function with a POP3. I also use a POP3 local proxy to do spam filtering, but in my case the proxy IS running prior to starting Mahogany. An RC script starts the proxy at boot. (Instead of configuring my POP to postoffice.worldnet.att.net and my SMTP server to mailhost.worldnet.att.net, I have those addresses configured in the proxy, and I put localhost:8881 and localhost:8882 in Mahogany's POP3 and SMTP setting fields. This works for all other clients I have tried. The proxy is Spambayes and can be found at http://spambayes.sourceforge.net) My POP3 is not a free service (AT&T Worldnet). The log window is 100% silent when the "Check for new Mail" button is pressed. It does not matter if the POP3 folder is selected or not. I am not using CVS. I used the src rpm for 0.65. I enabled "debug server and mailbox access" and the Shift-Alt-C behaves the same as pressing the Check for new mail button. Nothing happens in either the log and mail is not checked. The only way I have found to check mail is to "open" the POP3 mailbox. Maybe this is a completely separate bug, but since I leave mail on the server, when I do this, all 380+ messages are redownloaded even though I already downloaded them before. This makes Mahogany unusable for me... ouch... after spending all afternoon fighting build fails and having to run rpm --rebuild 4 times before getting a successful build. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
