Somewhat off topic but since it will benefit the project, hopefully you won't grumble
(too loud) ;-)

OK. at present, all my mail comes through pop.iprimus.com.au and hotmail.com

I am on dialup with a 5 hour session limit (1 session a day generally)

I do not own any domains etc and hope to achieve the following without needing one.
Tell me if I am wrong.

I use 2 email packages redundantly (one set to kill mail, one not).

I wish to setup an IMAP server on my Mandrake 9.2 box behind my IPTABLES firewall.

I think I need to setup *fetchmail* to get my mail from pop.iprimus.com.au.

I have installed the *Kolab server package ( http://kolab.kde.org )* which once I get
it setup will give me *Cyrus IMAP* and *Postfix*.

I presume I will have to shoehorn some *hotmail popper* like *(
http://mrpostman.sourceforge.net )* into the fetchmail chain so I can get hotmail.

All mail will then get smtp'ed out to my isp's mail server smtp.iprimus.com.au for
delivery.

My firewall is / will remain set to deny inbound mail protocols so I should not turn
into an open-relay :-(

Is this reasonable or have I forgotten something.

TIA

MarkL
