I agree it's a little annoying, but does the output to standard out actually
harm anything?
As you say, it's not an issue with Mahout. A fork is possible, but merely to
adjust this, seems like overkill to me. I don't mind filing a request with
Uncommons Math.
Yes the whole project uses the Mersenne twister PRNG.
I'm tentatively closing this, as a Mahout issue, for the reasons above.
