Dear Mahout Developers, I am an undergraduate student, finishing my final year. For my final year project, I got to work on Hadoop MapReduce and HDFS; furthermore I also had to use clustering algorithms in Mahout on some of the datasets. One of my project mentors proposed to implement Self Organizing Maps for that but it has not yet been implemented in Mahout. So I thought why not I should do it.
